Scheduling a Legal Strategy Session
Why You Should Book a Legal Strategy Session
1. It’s Not a Sales Pitch
When we talk for our Legal Strategy Session, the goal is to find out more about your legal issue, usually estate planning or business law questions (sometimes both or other law queries you may have), and discuss if we would be a good fit to work together.
2. Read the Reviews
Every lawyer thinks they are the “best” lawyer in town, some even pay to be called “Super Lawyer” in magazines for their waiting rooms, but I’m not here to brag about my skills. You can read the reviews above, and the testimonials below, or head on over to MyGoogleReviews.com to see what my clients say about working with me.
3. You’ll Leave with a Plan
Before we wrap up our phone call (usually 15 – 20 minutes), I like to make sure that you’ve got a plan for what you can do next. Sometimes, that plan will need the help of a lawyer. More often, we are able to formulate the next steps you can take to resolve your legal issue and you’ll get a follow-up email after our call with those steps laid out for you.

Without an Estate Plan, You Have no Control Over Your Legacy
If you don’t have an Estate Plan, then if something happens to you, you have no control over what happens next. If you’re sick and in the hospital, the doctors need to know whom to talk to and whether or not they have your permission to make medical decisions for you. When you die without an estate plan, your loved ones are left to navigate your local court’s processes and it will be up to the judge to decide how your legacy is treated. And if you have children under 18? That judge will be deciding who will take care of your children after you’re gone.
Controlling Your Company’s Future
Many business owners get their business started, filing the documents with their state, and never get around to their corporate documents. You can operate this way for years, but when a problem arises, you’ll wish you had taken the time to create an agreement. If your business partner dies, or they steal company money, or they want to sell their share of the business, without proper documentation, you are staring down a large legal bill to go back and solve what can be simple answers to questions most businesses face. Without agreements, you may even need to formally file a lawsuit to get answers to these simple questions.
Comprehensive Planning for Business Owners
If a business owner dies and the business doesn’t have its corporate documents in order, that business will now be tied up in probate court while the owner’s estate is sorted out. Instead, business owners have a unique opportunity to create comprehensive planning for their business interests and their personal legacy by creating estate planning and business planning documents that work together to form a cohesive plan for the future.
When You Can’t Avoid a Lawsuit
Whether you’re being sued or you need to sue someone, no one likes to deal with the court system alone (and if you’re a company, you aren’t allowed to go it alone, you need to hire an attorney). Before you try to navigate a system that lawyers spend years training for, let’s talk about some strategies tailored to your situation and if needed, we can discuss how to find you the right lawyer for your case.
